Sweat Equity Foundation exists
because fitness shouldn’t be a luxury.
We fund access to movement for those most often excluded —
working parents, shift workers, caregivers, and communities left out of wellness spaces built for the few.
What is our Mission?
To expand access to fitness and wellness for people excluded by cost, culture, or caregiving.
What is our Vision?
A world where movement is universal, and everyone belongs in the wellness community.
What is our Theory of Change?
Effort → Access → Equity → Belonging
Effort: Sweat and putting in the work is a tool for connection for all of us - it levels the playing field
Access: We remove barriers through scholarships and studio partnerships
Equity: We build fair systems so wellness isn’t gated
Belonging: We can create community spaces that reflect everyone
HOW ARE WE STRUCTURED?
The Sweat Equity Foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds direct access to fitness through scholarship-funded memberships to local studios.
WHAT ARE OUR VALUES?
1. Effort
We believe in showing up.
Not perfection. Not performance metrics. But willingness. Effort is the common denominator — across income, background, or experience level.
2. Growth
Movement is a vehicle for becoming — physically, mentally, and communally.
We value environments that support progress without shame and expansion without exclusion.
3. Citizenship
Community is a shared responsibility and requires intentional design and support.
Studios, donors, ambassadors, and recipients are participants in something bigger than themselves. We act with stewardship, accountability, and respect for everyone in the space.
4. Belonging
Access is not enough.
People should feel welcomed, integrated, and respected — not tolerated or evaluated.
5. Equity
Access must be designed, not assumed.
We remove financial and cultural barriers intentionally — without sacrificing dignity.
